Sigh. Blogging on Christmas Eve. The family has dispersed and I’m in the middle of my reflective/emotional/sugar induced meltdown in bed at my parents’ house in my Christmas pajamas. Operations 8, 9, and 10 of Christmas cheer were to take treats to work (they hated me), to go to a Christmas party, and to do “random acts of kindness” downtown. It all worked out nicely, and was all wonderfully Christmassy. We made sure people had scarves, mitts, warm socks, toques etc, and it was important that we were there doing that. I guess this is the maximum Christmas cheer that I can feel. It’s nice, but Christmas is still emotional.
Overall, the leadup to Christmas has been really really great. I’m very happy in my life right now and know I am very blessed. I sigh and complain sometimes, but I know deep down what is really important and what I can truly be thankful for. I want to say I am thankful for all of you bloggy and Twitter friends who we have only met in the last few months. It has been wonderful so far connecting with all of you, even when we all don’t sometimes agree. Thank you for making this a place of conversation for both CJ and I in 2009!
Merry Christmas,
