We’ve all done it: tried to get out of a bad date, or in an even worse state of anxiety/paranoia, offered excuses to avoid even the FIRST date. Some excuses fair better than others. My dear friend Kristina offers here, one of the best (and most legitimate): a broken nose and 2 black eyes. Poor Kristina got nailed in a soccer match only days prior to a first date, resulting in this:
Not really the first impression she was hoping to make. But perfect excuse material, yes indeed! (BTW, Hi Kristina! Hope you don’t mind me posting this in the blogosphere, you’re still fetching daaarling!)

Once a guy showed up to our first date with sunglasses and was like, “There’s something I have to show you.” and he took them off and he had a HUGE black eye from a basketball game. Not gonna lie though, it was kind of sexy… HA

I was supposed to meet a guy I met online. (blind date style) but I had gone for a facial the day before, and my whole face puffed up. Must have been an allergic reaction to some cream the esthetician used. I called the guy to cancel, and he ended up being a real a$$ about it.
Phew! saved by cosmetic treatment!
Can I just say….the one time I didn’t want to bail on a date -this happens. I’m pretty sure my date was ok with it once he saw what I looked like. Can you imagine… people would be giving him dirty looks like he did it.
…I’m proud to say that I did not miss one day of work – cast and all! And now, my nose is straight again
Awww! I think it’s sort of cute! And kudos for allowing the picture to be posted, I wouldn’t have the guts to do that (and I don’t recall any pics of the Blondes on this site either..)
Glad to know it healed alright, hopefully if the guy was worth it he waited for the date to be rescheduled.
